Much like my #oilspill paintings (which I&#8217;ve posted here previously), I&#8217;m developing a new series composed of the many photos I&#8217;ve taken of #Sandy ravaged structures layered with paintings. My community was hard hit and recovery is extremely slow. Many residents are still waiting for flood insurance payments, and to be informed about the new individual town building height restrictions. As I did with the #oilspill paintings, these will initially exist only digitally, I will then choose a few to paint physically. This is the first. My community was hard hit and recovery is extremely slow. Many residents are still waiting for flood insurance payments, and to be informed about the new individual town building height restrictions.

As I did with the #oilspill paintings, these will initially exist only digitally, I will then choose a few to paint physically.

This is the first. Let’s see how this develops.

Solo Show at the Brodsky Gallery at the Heldrich

If I hang all the work that I’m taking with me for my solo show which we hang Wednesday, and count the work that’s already out at galleries, that makes 60 ! paintings out. They range from 12x12 to 43x90.
